Nigel worked at Standard Bank for a number of years as Global Head of Resourcing, based out of South Africa and London, working extensively across the Bank's African offices. Prior to this, he headed up EMEA Resourcing for RBS and Barclays. Nigel comes with over 20 years’ experience hiring executive level appointments for these major banks and a variety of other leading organisations combined with a track record managing client expectations at the highest level.
I am a strategic HR Business Partner and Head of HR for divisions / business, and gained significant experience in the financial services industry – including specialist clients like corporate and business banking, private banking, as well as large clients such as Retail Bank. I have also added Group wide achievements to my portfolio by recently managing strategic HR components for Absa from an HR strategic specialist perspective, which includes talent management, performance management and recruitment.
I have a keen interest in creating high performance teams (in HR and line) through the accurate translation and facilitation of the HR and Business strategies into impactful business plans – I am driven by execution and implementation of these strategies, actively tracking the business benefits.

Phindo is a seasoned HR Practitioner with over 23 years experience in the profession. She is the former SABPP, Airchefs and ABB board member.
She has good appreciation of business and is passionate about business as much as she is about her HR profession. She has spent all her career life in Africa where she has held various HR roles that range from HR Trainee, HR Officer, HR Manager, HR Director to HR Vice President for Africa and Caribbean. Having worked for Unilever, Robertsons, BP, Airchefs, ABB and currently Schneider Electric has exposed her to various continents, The international exposure raised her confidence in understanding business drivers, it enhanced her appreciation of leading diverse teams, and deepened her HR knowledge.
Phindo’s expertise include driving initiatives such as organization design, transformation, change leadership, talent and leadership develpment, strategy development and implementation, mergers and acquisitions, high performance leadership.
She holds a B.A (Social Sciences) and MBL degrees. Her personal goal is to complete her DBA which she has currently deferred.
Her responsibility for the entire African continent has compelled her to learn to speak French among other languages.
Other than her involvement in business, Phindo is involved in charity work in the East Rand area and is a passionate golfer.
