Tope-Phillips is currently the HR Director for FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC and is responsible for leading and driving the talent development and people agenda of the organisation.

He has over 30 years’ experience which spans Banking, Journalism, Sales, Corporate & Governmental affairs, Brands Management & HR.

TP (as he is fondly called) is a pragmatic business leader with a flair for working and winning through teams. His major achievements have come through strategic thinking, strong interpersonal and coaching skills, holding self and others accountable to high standards.

He has had international exposure working as a regional lead spanning two continents (looking after over 18 countries) in Africa, Middle East and Turkey. He has won many awards, including a recent recognition as an  HR Leader of the year (Nigeria)  in 2019.

His key areas of expertise include leading Business Transformation and culture change, Talent management, Employee Engagement and Employer branding. He has been part of different Leadership teams that achieved business turnaround through innovative people strategies which have positively impacted business profitability.

He is passionate about developing future leaders and spends his time volunteering with young people to help them achieve their life goals.
