Africa’s human capital has a critical role to play in the achievement of her potential. The Talent Agenda Series in 2017 proposes that talent is key in Africa’s transition from the opportunity everyone is talking about, to a fully independent economic powerhouse. The Series for 2017 sees discussion centred on two truths. First, as identified in the Careers in Africa Employer of Choice Study, that Africa’s talent pool is fully committed to playing a role in the continent’s development, and is actively seeking out employers who provide this. Second, that employers have the power to enable and develop talent at every level, creating of a sustainable pool of human capital for Africa by leading a partnership with government and education.
